FAQ

Q. Who plays in the kibbie dome?

A. The University of Idaho Vandals!

Q. Do you do landscaping?

A. Inherently, yes, but not in the traditional sense. We like to hold ourselves to a consistently high standard, always adhere to industry standards and strive for a process and results based in science, training, experience and education. We will happily work with you on design elements including plant selection, layout, maintenance and we are incredibly experienced installers of plant material. We do not plant anything invasive. We do not volcano mulch. We know what we’re talking about. We do not cut grass.

Q. What is something i can ask a potential contractor?

A. Always ask, ‘why’! Whatever their answer, ask why. We’re happy to discuss climate resiliency, nativity, industry standards, healthy soils = happy plants, etc. We’ve come to many of our conclusions, preferences and recommendations through study, experience, training, workshops, conferences and staying abreast of current trends. Moreover, we’re happy to share this information with you as one size does not fit all. That’s why we treat each plant individually!

Q. Do you leave the burlap and metal cage on trees?

A. There are industry standards for tree planting which we follow closely and always exceed. The short of it is, why would you want to leave anything that could prevent roots from growing outwardly? That’s why we ditch the burlap and cage. Our process always involves planting by hand and inspecting the entire tree, including its root system, before and during planting. This allows us to make any corrections, account for settling, and to ensure your investment is given every chance to flourish. It’s also why, when you adhere to our maintenance recommendations, we warranty our plant material for 2 years!
